Eclipse Blinds was established in Gauteng in 1996 during which time vertical blinds, aluminium venetians and aluminium shuttering formed the basis of our business. Within a year we extended our product range to wooden venetian blinds as well as roll-up blinds made from woven wood and natural bamboo reeds.

All our raw materials are sourced from well established and reliable suppliers in Europe and the Far East.

Eclipse Blinds participate in exhibitions such as Decorex and Homemakers Expo in both Johannesburg and Cape Town and our personnel regularly attend trade shows abroad to keep abreast of the latest international trends in window coverings.

A growing trend towards the use of timber blinds by interior decorators has prompted us to focus our attention on this product range. Although our range of colours is already the most extensive in the market place, we are looking to expand the range yet further with several new colours planned for the future. A significant investment in a fully automatic punching and slatting wooden venetian machine has allowed us to triple our production and reduce delivery time to 7-10 working days.

In the last quarter of 2001 Eclipse Blinds expanded their operation with the establishment of a factory in Killarney Gardens near Cape Town. The advantage of having two independent operations is a substantial reduction in out-of-stock situations and a collaborative effort to speedy completion of orders. Eclipse Blinds is vertically integrated from sales staff to our own installation teams.
